It was all Liberty-Benton Saturday as the Eagles put the finishing touches on a perfect weekend of basketball by whipping Elida 56-34 in a non-conference game.
Liberty-Benton (6-1), which took care of Leipsic 66-32 Friday to remain unbeaten in the Blanchard Valley Conference, led just 10-8 after the first quarter. But the Eagles outscored the Bulldogs 36-20 in the middle two periods to take control.
Liberty-Benton's Aaron Craft dished out 4 assists and tossed in 24 points to lead all scorers. Brett Pasche also reached double figures with 10 points. Justin Hyde grabbed 7 rebounds as the Eagles had a 19-16 edge on the boards.
NORTH BALTIMORE — McComb rang up a 23-point third quarter to break open a close game and went on to a 68-41 non-conference victory over North Baltimore Saturday night.
The Panthers, who are now 7-1, built a 26-22 halftime lead before outscoring the Tigers (3-5) 23-10 in the third period.
McComb, which converted 23 of 35 2-point field goals, got 14 points each from Taylor Hanes and Andrew Morse. Mason Roth and Kevan Westenbarger scored 12 each and Chase Drewes had 10.
North Baltimore got 8 points from Chris Casey.

LEIPSIC — Continental built a 12-point cushion through three quarters and the unbeaten Pirates hung on for a 47-44 Putnam County League victory over Leipsic.
Continental got field goals from Damon Schmidt and Ben Swartzman while converting 5 of 9 chances at the free-throw line to hold off Leipsic.
Swartzman had 11 points and 14 rebounds and John Spitnale added 10 points to lead Continental.
Derek Mangas scored 11 points and had 4 steals for Leipsic (1-6, 0-3) with Nadler scoring 13 points and grabbing 8 rebounds.
COLUMBUS GROVE — Columbus Grove used a 17-7 edge in the fourth quarter to pull away from Fort Jennings in a 62-50 Putnam County League win Saturday.
Luke Kohls carried the day for Columbus Grove (4-3 overall, 1-2 PCL) by tossing in a game-high 27 points. Teammate Nate Schroeder added 11.
Jared Horstman popped in 18 points and Drew Mesker chipped in 11 for the Musketeers (4-5, 0-1).
