Pandora-Gilboa's Sam Spallinger was a four-time winner and put together a pair of record-breaking performances to help the Rockets win the boys title at Saturday's Hardin Northern Invitational.
The Rockets topped Leipsic 125-107 for the boys team title.
Spallinger, a state qualifier in four individual events last season, won with records in the 100 (10.7) and 200 (21.7). He also captured the 400 (52.8) and long jump (19-11¾.
Teammates Matt Kohli won the discus (129-3), Tom Hochstettler took the high jump (6-3) and Tejay Boes captured the shot put (47-2).
Kohli also teamed with Austin Dailey, Ross Diller and Derek Morrison to win the 400 relay (46.8). Diller and Hochstettler joined Dailey and Morrison to win the 800 relay (1:36.4).
It was a long and very successful day for Leipsic's Derrick Schroeder.
He started his day by joining teammates Sonny Hernandez, Jacob Schroeder and Nate Nuveman to win the 3,200 relay (9:06.7). He added individual victories for the Vikings in the 800 (2:12.3), 1,600 (5:09.9) and 3,200 (11:30.0).
Hardin Northern got a win from Jacob Shepherd in the pole vault (12-6). He also joined Logan Price, Joe Walter and Kurt Thomson to win the 1,600 relay (3:51.8).
Cory-Rawson's Lucas Horstman, a returning state placer in the 110 high hurdles broke a 22-year old meet record in his specialty with a time of 14.6 seconds. He also captured the 300 hurdles in 41.2.
It was a Rocket sweep as Pandora-Gilboa's girls walked away with a championship trophy too. Pandora-Gilboa outscored Arlington 134-104 for the girls crown.
Ashley Sprunger duplicated Schroeder's feat.
Sprunger teamed with Maggie McPherson, Megan Schneck and Sarah Flickinger to win the 3,200 relay (11:04.0). She also took the 800 (2:37.2), 1,600 (5:44.3) and 3,200 (12:41.3) runs.
Renee Peckinpaugh won the 300 hurdles (50.7) and joined Ellie Braidic, McPherson and Deidre Latham to win the 1,600 relay (4:33.1).
Arlington's Jasmine Foster was a quadruple winner. Foster won the 100 (12.4) and 200 (26.7) individually. She also joined Lauren Pepple, Taylor Baddley and Laura Beach to win the 400 relay (53.4) and Pepple, Taylor Beck and Baddley to finish first in the 800 relay (1:52.8).
The Red Devils won four other individual events.
Joy Reamsnyder took the 400 (1:04.2) on the track. In field event action, Taylor Beck won the long jump (15-9¾), Mackenzie Heacock won the discus (102-11) and Kristie Graydon captured the high jump (5-2).
Three other schools had one champ each.
Samantha Fell won the 100 intermediate hurdles (16.8), Leipsic's Kendra Averesch won the shot put (35-8) and North Baltimore freshman Amanda Hotaling set a new meet record in the pole vault with a leap of 10-6.
