Coaches asked to return forms

Little Caesars
Area baseball and softball coaches are asked to return their preseason analysis forms as soon as possible to The Courier sports department.

The forms may be returned by fax at 419-427-8480, email at or via U.S. Mail in the return envelope that was provided to each coach. The information will be used for the area baseball and softball preview that will be published prior to the season.

Team information is still needed from the following schools:

BASEBALL — Arlington, Bluffton, Cory-Rawson, Fostoria St. Wendelin, Fostoria Senior, Hardin Northern, Hopewell-Loudon, Liberty-Benton, Miller City, New Riegel, North Baltimore, Ottawa-Glandorf, Pandora-Gilboa, Patrick Henry, Riverdale, Upper Sandusky, Van Buren, Lakota.

SOFTBALL — Ada, Arcadia, Bluffton, Columbus Grove, Elmwood, Fostoria St. Wendelin, Fostoria Senior, Hopewell-Loudon, Kalida, Leipsic, Liberty-Benton, McComb, North Baltimore, Ottawa-Glandorf, Patrick Henry, Van Buren, Vanlue, Lakota, Bettsville, Old Fort.



Morgart scores 8 points

TONTOGANY — Elmwood's Megan Morgart scored 8 points Tuesday to help the South beat the North 80-74 in the Wood County senior all-star girls game at Otsego High School.

In the boys game, Elmwood's Preston Shank scored 15 points and grabbed 9 rebounds and Jordan Briggs (7) and Thomas Curits (2) added 9 combined points as the South lost the contest 95-74. North Baltimore's Jared James knocked down one of seven 3-pointers made by the North.
