Romaine Abraham and her daughter, Sarah, 10, feed a trumpeter swan who has taken up temporary residence at their Beechwood Road home. Abraham, who found the bird in her retention pond, believes it may be someone’s pet because the swan has no fear of people and eats out of her hand. She said she has contacted the Ohio Department of Natural Resources with the hope of helping the bird find its way home. Trumpeter swans are native of northwest and central North America.
